Korean Government Scholarship Program

KGSP-U Program(Undergraduate)

• Requirement: A healthy secondary education graduate with the nationality of one of the recommendable nations whose GPA of whole school period exceeds 80 out of 100.
• Application Period: September~October each year(Korean embassy recommendation)
• Scholarship Period: 5 years [Korean Language(1 year)+Undergraduate(4 years)] / Shorter for those with excellent Korean language skills.
• Details of Scholarship: Round-way airfare, monthly stipend, Korean language course fee, tuition fee, medical insurance fee, etc.

KGSP for Graduate School Students

• Requirement: A healthy graduate of Undergraduate or Master's course with the nationality of one of the recommendable nations whose GPA of whole school period exceeds 80 out of 100.
• Application Period: January~March each year(Korean embassy & University recommendation)
• Scholarship Period: 3~4 years [Korean Language(1 year)+Master/Doctorate(2~3 years)] / Shorter for those with excellent Korean language skills.

Exchange Student

TaLK(Teach and Learn in Korea) Program

• Requirement: An exchange student who is a junior from a partner institution in a nation where its first language is English, and who is also native speaker of English.
• Details:
  • ① Studies as an exchange student in CJU, as an Oversea English Volunteer Scholarship student invited by the Korean government.
  • ② Teach English as a volunteer at elementary school after school, 9 hrs/week.
• Period: 6 months / 1 year
• Application: April and October
• Details of Scholarship: Monthly stipend, Round-trip airfare, lodgings, medical insurance, etc.

GKS Scholarship for Exchange Student of Excellence

• Requirement: A junior from a partner institution who has the ability to take undergraduate courses in Korean.
• Details: Studies as an exchange student in CJU, invited by the Korean government.
• Period: 6 months / 1 year
• Application Period: December~January (Applicants planning to study in the fall semester of the same year should also apply at this period and not later on.)
• Details of Scholarship: Monthly stipend, Round-trip airfare, lodgings, medical insurance, etc.
